I've wanted to set up my own dental practice for many years, and I feel lucky to be doing it alongside my amazing wife Rachel, whose passion for orthodontics is a daily inspiration. My passion is helping change people’s perceptions of dental treatment by really listening to their needs around oral health and dental treatment. We've got three kids, so I'm pretty good at communicating in language that you'll understand to take the confusion out of dental treatment (although this doesn't seem to work for turning lights off and hanging up towels...). I’ve been lucky enough to work all round the world and gain experience in surgical and sedation techniques along the way. I love helping patients get through difficult procedures using these techniques, so rest assured, you're in safe and experienced hands at our Papamoa dentist. Rach and I are raising Max, Rufus and Sebastian which keeps us very busy, but I try to find time for Golf and Mountain Biking and we’ve recently started learning to surf. I’m very passionate about the outdoors. Oh, and I love colourful socks!
I am very excited to be part of the team at Papamoa Orthodontist/Tara Road Dental. I have been in the dental industry for 29 years and am passionate about patient care. I look forward to meeting you and helping to ensure that coming to the dentist is a great experience for you and your family. I moved to the Bay with my husband and two boys 15 years ago. When I’m not working, I enjoy time at the lake with family and friends, wakeboarding, running, cycling and hanging on the beach with my pooches Rooby and Annie.
I have lived in Papamoa for 32 years and been in the dental industry for most of that time. I love getting to know dental patients and their families. I am married to John, and our daughter Georgia is currently at university in Christchurch. We have an old black lab named Jack and a fat cat, Lola. I enjoy making the most of the great lifestyle we have here in Tauranga and the Bay. Going on walks, fishing and pilates are a few of my favourite things to do.
I am delighted to be part of team ‘Tara Road dental Papamoa’. It has been over two decades ago that my dental career started, having graduated from Otago University with a degree in dental hygiene. As it turns out it was the right decision for me. Here I am still loving what I do & enjoying the people I meet and care for along the way. Outside of work life, my happiest place is trail running or joining my husband on one of his crazy kayaking adventures. We are spoiled, Aotearoa is so abundant with such spectacular forests and rivers! I have two daughters in their early twenties, whom I am super proud of & grab every opportunity I can to spend time with them. I look forward to meeting you and sharing my experience and passion for preventative oral care.
I have been a dental assistant since 2022, and feel very lucky to have joined such a beautiful practice with an amazing team. I grew up in Whakatane and moved over to Tauranga by myself 3 years ago. I love my job and am very passionate about the industry. Ever since having braces at age 14 I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in dental. I was very excited to have completed my NZDA qualification last year. When I’m not at work, I love staying fit by going to the gym and running. I also love catching up with friends over coffee or slushy margaritas, my favourite spots are down and around the Mount.
I moved to Tara Rd Dental/Papamoa Orthodontist after a year in the dental industry as an assistant, and now looking to take on the challenge of a more multi-faceted role. I find the dental industry to be incredibly rewarding, and I always hope to help people overcome any fears they may have. Outside of work I spend a lot of time with my family, especially my young niece and nephews. I have many creative hobbies such as sewing and other crafts, I also love baking treats like cookies, slices, and scones.
